Founded in 1984, the Republican County Central Committee was formed in Mitchell County, Iowa. The name has been changed to clarify that the committee is based in Mitchell County, and changed again to shorten and modernize the name. The committee has made tremendous impact thanks to the help of members and volunteers in the local area. The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we bring to the helping our candidates with their campaigns. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a meaningful difference in the federal, state, and local governments.
This is the 3rd annual event to be held in 2026 with ?? other counties and has been a success. Stay tuned for the details on the 3rd annual event on August 29th, 2026.
US Capitol Building
Our nation's capitol is often called The Capitol or the Capitol Building, is the meeting place of the United States Congress and the seat of the legislative branch of the U.S. federal government. It is located on Capitol Hill at the eastern end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
Central sections of the present building were completed in 1800. These were partly destroyed in the 1814 burning of Washington, then were fully restored within five years. The building was later enlarged by extending the wings for the chambers for the House of Representatives in the south wing and the Senate in the north wing. The massive dome was completed around 1866 just after the American Civil War.

Dismantle the Deep State
President Trump will Drain the Swamp once and for all, and restore government by the People. He will end the weaponization of the justice system, the FBI, and the DOJ. We will conduct a top-to-bottom overhaul of the federal bureaucracies to clean out the rot and corruption of Washington D.C.

Iowa Capitol Building
For more than a century, the golden dome of the State Capitol has been a symbol of Iowa government and politics. The Capitol, dedicated in 1884 and completed in 1886 is built of limestone, granite and sandstone. It is famous for its 23 carat gold-covered dome which rises 275 feet above the Capitol grounds and is one of the largest of its kind. One of the nation's best examples of 19th-century architecture, the Iowa Statehouse is a showcase for artwork, carved woodwork and Decorative wall and ceiling paintings.

Iowa Supreme Court
Justice David May
Justice May Non-Partisan, Polk City, was appointed to the Iowa Supreme Court in July 2022 by Governor Kim Reynolds. He was appointed to the Iowa Court of Appeals in April 2019 and appointed as a district judge in Judicial Election District 5C in February 2016.
Justice May previously practiced law with Bradshaw, Fowler, Proctor & Fairgrave, P.C., in Des Moines. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia, his Master of Public Health degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and his law degree from Drake University Law School.
His current term expires December 31, 2024.
Court of Appeals
Judge Tyler Buller
Tyler Buller, Non-Partisan, is a judge of the Iowa Court of Appeals. He assumed office on June 30, 2023. His current term ends on December 31, 2024.

Buller, of Johnston, previously served as an assistant attorney general in the Iowa Department of Justice. He received his undergraduate degree from Drake University and his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.
Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) appointed Buller to the court of appeals in October 2022, to replace David May.

Judge Mary Tabor
Judge Tabor, Des Moines, was appointed to the Court of Appeals in 2010. She was born in Maquoketa and raised on her family's farm in Jackson County. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in 1985. She graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1991.

Judge Tabor worked as a staff attorney in the Office of General Counsel for the Federal Election Commission in Washington, D.C. from 1991 to 1993. She joined the Iowa Attorney General's office in 1993 and served as director of the Criminal Appeals Division from 1999 to 2010.

Judge Tabor is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Blackstone Inn of Court. Judge Tabor is married and has two sons and one daughter.
FAQs
How Judges are Elected
Judges of the Iowa Court of Appeals are appointed by the governor with help from a nominating commission. When a vacancy occurs, the commission submits a list of three potential nominees to the governor, who appoints one to serve as judge. Newly appointed judges serve for one year after their appointment; they must then compete in a yes-no retention election (occurring during the regularly scheduled general election) if they wish to continue serving.

Senator District 30
Doug Campbell
Mason City, Iowa: Doug Campbell, former Iowa Senate candidate, was confirmed as the Republican nominee for Iowa Senate District 30 on Monday night in Clear Lake.
In a special nominating convention chaired by Rep. Charles Thomson of Charles City, Campbell overwhelmingly won the support of convention delegates, winning with 68% of the vote.
Campbell said, “My team and I worked incredibly hard to make this happen, and it feels great to see all of our hard work pay off. We are prepared to hit the ground running and win the votes of District 30 this November.”
Campbell continued, “My reason for running was to ensure our district has a nominee that values the Constitution and has the best interest of our people at heart. Our district deserves real representation in Des Moines, and I will work hard to give them just that.”
“As a former pharmacist, one of my top issues is the high costs of prescription medication. There are certainly ways the legislature can address these problems, and I will utilize my background to find effective solutions.”
“My next issue is education. Our education system is in a position to make great improvements with the right moves and leadership. As your State Senator, I will work hard to find real solutions that will work for parents, students, and school staff.”
“Lastly, I will prioritize the rights of landowners against eminent domain abuse here in Iowa. George Washington famously said, ‘Freedom and property rights are inseparable. You can’t have one without the other.’ I will work hard in Des Moines on behalf of landowners to protect their rights to their own land.”
Campbell’s statements sum up his readiness to step up to the position, and win in November. Campbell believes now is the time to unite behind his candidacy and look toward the general election.
House District 60
Jane Bloomingdale
Jane is a lifelong resident of Northwood where she owns a tax and accounting firm. She served on the Northwood City Council for 15 years and as the mayor for 5 years before representing the district in the Iowa House of Representatives. She is running for re-election because she cares about our citizens and communities.

Jane is the Chairwoman of the State Government Committee and has worked to decrease the size of the government. She has also worked on bills to improve election security and limit foreign land ownership. She believes in strengthening rural Iowa and promoting businesses by improving workforce housing grants and childcare.
​
She has worked to decrease income taxes to 3.8%, eliminate the death tax, and remove income taxes from retirement income.

Greg Beaver
I love serving other people, it's why I do what I do. If I didn’t have a financial obligation to my family, I’d do it for nothing, I just enjoy this job that much. I have good people in the Sheriff’s office so it’s easy to come to work.
As an office we provide a good service to the people of Mitchell County, and I want to continue to do that.
Financially, I’ve been responsible with the tax dollars. If somebody wants to come in and look at my budgets for the last 12 to 13 years that I’ve been Sheriff, you will see that I’ve given back over $1,000,000 to the county coffers. It was all money that was approved for me to spend.
At the end of each budget year, when I see that I still have percentages left to spend, I give it back to the county. That money belongs to the tax payers and can finance other things that are truly needed. Over those 12 years, it has added up. I’m proud of that. I don’t know if a previous Sheriff has ever done that. Yet we still are not lacking in the service we provide. We are not lacking in the equipment we need to continue to do our jobs.
We face challenges every day. Mental health issues are huge in our county, our drug problems are not unique to Mitchell County, they are all over the state of Iowa. We have good people taking care of those things.
One of the things that I want to continue to get better at is to protect our schools. We have ongoing training, with training in June that addresses just that. For me it is a lifestyle that never ends, like a farmer who never retires. You find out what you’re good at, what you are wired to do, and this is what it is for me. I just really enjoy it, so I will continue as long as the people want me to.

Rachel Foster
I was born and raised in Mitchell County. I graduated from Waldorf College with a Finance and Management degree and returned to Mitchell County in 2014.
I started working under Lowell Tesch in the Auditor’s Office in 2018. As Commissioner of Elections, I have prized myself on keeping Elections secure and making the election process run smoothly. I want to continue making all accounts as transparent as possible to the public.
I love the job I have been doing and would love the opportunity to continue serving Mitchell County. Elect the best candidate for the position and the one with the experience to get the job done. Please support me for the office of Auditor.

Supervisor District 2
Jim Wherry
As a County Supervisor, it has always been my goal to Promote and Advance Mitchell County. I will be seeking a second term as Mitchell County's District 2 Supervisor in order to continue with that goal.
I may represent District 2, but work for all Mitchell County residents. It has been an honor to serve in this role.

Pam Marzen
I am Pam Marzen and excited to be running for Mitchell County Supervisor in District #4. I’m a life-long resident of Mitchell County, growing up on the “Road to Nowhere” west of Mitchell, the daughter of Stanley and Darlene Ask. My husband Joe and I, farm east of Stacyville, where we raised 5 children, crops and hogs, and now get to enjoy 9 grandchildren.

I am blessed,having been “grounded” with a very strong belief in Mitchell County and our great people. Involvement in 4-H, FFA, Pork Producers, Porkettes, the Visitation School, Church and St. Isidore Catholic Community, has afforded me the opportunity to share ideas and complete projects with many of you. My experience as a Sr. Accounting Specialist for Hormel Foods, will serve as a base for objectively reviewing financial issues.

I will seek ways to help Mitchell County continue to grow as a safe and sustainable place to live, work and raise our families. I am Listening, I am Learning, and I would greatly appreciate your vote of support in the upcoming election.

Supervisor District 5
Mark Hendrickson
Mark was born and raised in Mitchell County and graduated from St Ansgar High. He farmed and worked for Secondary Roads for 17 years. He is a proponent of using common sense.
Mark believes in helping people, treating them fairly, and saving taxpayers' money. He would like to reduce the county debt instead of adding to it. He would do this by working with the department heads on their budgets with a focus on the infrastructure that needs to be maintained to keep the roads and bridges in good shape. That attracts people and businesses to Mitchell County.

Concerning the proposed eminent domain of a private businesses as opposed to the rights and safety of private citizens, he proposes that the county works to put an ordinance in place to protect its citizens.
